Le Cafe Ancien began it's life in the U.K. when I was living there and met musician and producer Chris Corney. We began to track songs for the album, but I unexpectedly had to return to Australia for a while and the recordings were put on hold. About a year later Chris and I met up again in the south of France where a friend of his offered to provide her home as recording studio, and the album was completed between visits to local wineries and lunches at ancient castles and villages. The name Le Cafe Ancien is taken from the name of the building in France where it was recorded.
